When did you start working for Routen Chaplin?

December 2023.

Before working at Routen Chaplin, what was the most unusual or interesting job you have had?

I’ve worked in insurance since I left school, although I spent a couple of years in healthcare. I worked in care homes and visited people’s homes, which definitely had its challenges, although it was really interesting to learn about people and their lives. Our clients always had interesting stories to tell!

Do you have any particular niche in any insurance specialism?

I don’t have any particular niche as I’ve done a mix of personal lines for a while, but I would say that Travel has become my favourite, as I picked it up quickly and find it really interesting.

How did you come to take the role at Routen Chaplin?

A recruitment agency told me about the opportunity and it was just what I was looking for. A perfect match.

How would you describe yourself as an individual?

I’m quite shy at first, but when you get to know me, I’m chatty and bubbly, and always want to help people.

Can you sum up your job in three words?

Interesting, rewarding and challenging.

What do you like doing outside of work?

I love spending time with family and friends. Having a big family, I’m always talking to someone on the phone or going out with someone, but I also love sitting down and reading a good book or getting into a gripping TV series.
