Before working at Routen Chaplin, what was the most unusual or interesting job you have had?
My first job was when I was sixteen and I worked with my dad on forklift truck maintenance and repairs. Basically, this involved taking apart old trucks and restoring them. It was actually a lot more interesting than it sounds!
Do you have any particular niche in any insurance specialism?
As this is my first role in insurance, I don’t have any particular niche specialism as yet. My background has primarily been in finance within manufacturing firms.
How did you come to take the role at Routen Chaplin?
I found out about the role through a local recruitment agency.
How would you describe yourself as an individual?
I’m an extremely driven person who enjoys problem-solving, helping clients and colleagues as best I can.
Can you sum up your job in three words?
Always something different.
What do you like doing outside of work?
I spend my free time with my partner and our nine-year-old Labrador, Poppy, who keeps us both on our toes. I also love watching football. I follow England away regularly across Europe and have had a season ticket at Walsall F.C. for nearly twenty years.
