Going from strength to strength, despite the pandemic

8th October, 2020

We are pleased to report that, despite the pandemic, Routen Chaplin’s business is going from strength to strength and, as well as remaining fully operational throughout lockdown, we are also celebrating a number of key new initiatives.

First and foremost, on your next trip into Long Eaton, look out for our stunning new signage on the front of the building. This is just one aspect of our onward investment programme, which has seen us making some large capital investments over the course of 2020. As well as new signage and building refurbishment, we’ve also invested in a complete IT upgrade, including a new IT platform, enabling us to communicate more efficiently and effectively with our customers.

Thanks to our new IT system, we were able to continue operating as normal throughout lockdown, providing the usual high level of personal service our customers have come to expect in every area of our business.

In addition, we’ve also invested in people and now have a new Senior Management Team. We’re still led by Managing Director, Steve Beeley, but he is now supported by Philippa Beason, Commercial Director and Gemma Bee, Operations and Finance Manager.

As Commercial Director, Philippa brings a wealth of technical expertise to the company and oversees the smooth running of the commercial team, providing advice and guidance to staff and customers alike. Gemma Bee, as Operations and Finance Manager, performs a wide range of duties, including preparing monthly accounts, resolving queries, staff development, premises management and planning for the future.

Additional new members of staff include Account Handler, Stephanie Reeve, who specialises in residential property policies and landlords’ insurance, and Administrator, Holly Walford, who supports the Personal Lines Team. Stephanie says she is loving her new role, processing changes, handling renewals and managing customer queries, with no two properties or days ever the same. Holly is equally enthusiastic, enjoying the busy atmosphere and ensuring client records are continually updated and Personal insurance clients meet their renewal dates.

Continuous investment in staff, training and development enables us to remain at the forefront of our industry, ensuring we continue to deliver a first class service, products and policies that will safeguard our future and continue to protect client’s businesses and personal assets for years to come.

As the local community insurance broker since 1961, servicing the needs of the local area, Routen Chaplin has been chosen by thousands of residents looking to protect their homes, cars and property, and trusted by all sizes of business to provide guidance and advice, leading to appropriate business protection policies. We act with honesty, integrity and professionalism in all our dealings and it’s this approach that has helped us build healthy, long term relationships to the benefit of our company and customers.

With the coronavirus scenario changing on an almost daily basis, we remain vigilant and committed to keeping our staff and customers safe. Whether working in the office or at home, depending on the latest guidelines, we are still available for all types of business insurance, from liability and indemnity to cyber and flood, and personal cover, including car, house, travel and pet.

Our new IT platform enables us to provide a full level of service, whether arranging cover, answering queries or handling claims, and our team can still be reached through our usual telephone numbers or via email.
